     its Headline says:

'We came back from hell', say Ukrainians after years in Russia-occupied front-line city         (Saturday 31oct2026)

quote :  4th paragraph:

Oleshky, seized by Russia during the first few days of its full-scale invasion in February 2022, is trapped on one side by the Dnipro (Dnieper) River and on the other side by Russian forces.

There are TWO Oleshky, only the Kherson one (in small red outline on the map) correct for these events, but the BBC did not say which....... the other is in Kharkiv Oblast, 650km away north east.

Clearly, the SHELLING was Coming from the UKRAINE Military hoping to recapture Oleshky, NOT Russian, yet nothing said of that in the BBC article above !!

The mines may have been Russian.

Another BBC quote : Up to 6,000 people, including 200 children, were believed to still be living in Oleshky and its surrounding areas, with 1,700 in the city itself.
